• Hello,

I am trying to install some new plugins on my wordpress blog and I’m having some issues. I am running wordpress 2.7.1 and when I click on the “Add New” under plugins it takes me to a blank page with no options. There is a left-hand sidebar as well as the top bar but there is no physical area to upload or add a new plugin.

I’ve also tired adding a plugin by uploading it via ftp or file manager and when I do that and click on “plugins” in my admin panel the page goes blank aswell. If how-ever I remove the plug-in that was just added via file manager I am able to access the plugins.php file without problem.

I need to get this resolved asap because I need to install some new plug-ins and updates. What can I do to fix this issue? I’ve searched the forums already and nothing has helped me.

    Please let me know,
    Thanks!

I need someone to help me out here. I really need to install these plugins and i can’t the way things are.

    Any suggestions??

Think I saw something awhile back about renaming the plugin folder.
Then creating a new empty plugin folder.
If you already have plugins installed try to deactivate them.
You might have a bad plugin.

    Alright,

I deactivated all the pluings and then I renamed the plugin folder to plugins2. I recreated the plugins folder and the issue was the same without any plugins. If I re-add all the plusins I had before the plugins page works, but as soon as I add a new one it doesn’t work again… odd Hum?

    … any other ideas?

    Ah……No.
    I’m stumped.
Try deactivating the plugins one at a time see if
    you find any anomalies there.
Sometimes plugins don’t play well together.

You might want to try updating yourself to the latest version of WordPress too. Maybe you’ve got a corrupt file somewhere.

Besides, the version you’re running isn’t secure, so it’s probably wise even if it doesn’t fix the problem above.
