• For the last three weeks any pics posted appear as white box with red x in it. Adjusting size of photo doesn’t help.

    Anybody know why this is?

  • There’s probably something wrong with the src link to the image. You ought to put up a link to the site in question so that people can help.

    Thanks for your reply! The url is https://www.thehappinessbusiness.com/living-out-loud/

    Your image is being called from this location:

    //www.thehappinessbusiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Abundance.jpg

    But, as you can see here, https://www.thehappinessbusiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/

    the directory /02, and the image Abundance.jpg does not exist at that location.

    Hi Clayton,

    thanks so much for your response. I have no idea how to fix this. It’s the same for every pic I uploaded since the end of January. I deleted them all and tried re-uploading them but the same thing is happening.

    Have you any idea why they’re not appearing in my directory and what I could do to resolve it?

    Do you get any errors when you upload? Have you installed any plugins that might mess with uploading?

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

    – Add this code in htaccess:

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    SecFilterEngine Off
    SecFilterScanPOST Off
    </IfModule>

    – Assign 755 recursive permissions to wp-content directory.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

    @apljdi, I don’t get any errors, just blank pics. I’ve been looking at my plug-ins and as far as I can remember none of their installations coincide with this problem starting.

    @shane G, thanks so much for your suggestions, but sadly I’m not very technically literate and I don’t know where to find htaccess and (I feel particularly thick on this one) nor am I able to locate my wp-content directory!

    Did you discover the resolution to this problem? I am helping a friend, and we have the same problem at https://www.powerwomenmagazine.com. Just white boxes with little red X’s….
