  • I had the same thing, it proved to be my theme. Fortunately there was a newer version of it and the problem was easily solved.

I’ll check that… but what has a theme to do with the Admin pages??

[Update] : There is a newer version of my theme, but didn’t change anything !

Don’t know, but there are several things that can make WP ‘angry’, plugins, themes, old files. When trying to upgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.3 I had your problem and even had to delete WP entirely. 2.3.1 Caused problems, but not as big, and this proved to be an old version of my theme. The moral or the story: you may want to have a look at your plugins and theme. Maybe just try uploading again (you may have gotten a corrupt file when your computer was just doing something when some file was transferred) and if nothing works you could perhaps try to not overwrite your old installation, but delete WP and upload the new version ‘from scratch’ (don’t do anything with the database of course!).

@gangleri: I’ll try to delete the plugins instead of disable them !

[Update] : The plugins where the error !!! Thanks !

BTW, the empty page situation is almost always related to a php error. Most web servers are set to hide these types of issues so all you get is a blank page when this happens. You can usually look in your error logs for the server and see the exact problem (and in many cases it will say what plugin was causing the issue if you look at what file it’s saying caused the issue)
