• Greetings from Denmark – and happy New Year!

    I used version 1.5
I have, of course, made a backup of my database
I followed the guidelines and installed the new version 2.0
When I go to /my-admin/upgrade.php I get a blank page. Nothing happens.
It’s the same with the front page of my website (www.riisjensen.dk). It’s blank!

    What is happening?

    /Carsten.

  • i’ve tried each suggestion listed individually and all together, and still no dice… i see nothing but blank pages on both install.php or upgrade.php. if i go to admin, i get a message about my db being out of date and a link to upgrade which then is blank.

    any other ideas?

I’m new to WordPress, just installed today. I installed version 1.5.1 using my hosts control panel. I thought it would be easy enough to upgrade to 2.0.1 myself because I had made not edits or posts to v 1.5.1. Well I was wrong. I am experiencing the same “blank page” syndrome described in previous posts when I try to upgrade. I tried uploading the v 2.0.1 files again and tried ryan’s new setting file. Nothing gives, blank pages galore.

    Any other suggestions?

I had the same problem. Homepage of my blog was totally blank. Nothing in the source code.
Problem: I didn’t have a current theme selected, and I couldn’t select a theme on the theme’s page, nor could I access the ‘Theme Editor’.
Solution: I had my folder permissions set wrong and had to CHMOD the wp-content directory & all sub directories to: 755. I think this is do do with allowing the ‘Execute’ permission on these folders.
It fixed the problem for me! Does this work for anyone else?
