    Can I do any of these solutions if I can’t get into the user panel? I am not an experienced WP user so I need some direction. Please help me!

    Hi Joanna,

    I had a look at the link given by Tara: if you can’t get into the user panel, you still can do all the steps indicated in the document. You just need to use the utility given by your hosting provider to browse the directories and manipulate files on your server (you can also use an ftp program like filezilla). Let us know which action you did not understand.

    I have a couple of questions about your problem:
    – do you have a backup of your content ? If not, do you have a lot of content (how many articles) ?
    – when you say I cannot login to my page …, you mean that when you go to https://eosdam.se/wp-login.php, enter your login and password, then you see a blank page, that’s right?

    Hope you manage to find the solution soon.

    No I don’t have any backup of my content but it’s not very important to keep the old posts.
    Yes, exactely, when I try to login at the wp-login all I see is a blank page.
    I will look into the utility, but to be honest I don’t know much about this. Is there any other (easier) way to do it?

    Is the solution still what you said before or is there any easier way?

    A 403 forbidden means that your browser isn’t able to load the scripts up because your server isn’t allowing it. This is a hard one to solve. Because anything could be blocking the server.
    – Check your .htaccess files for anything strange
    – Ask your host what’s going on
    – Also try a full manual upgrade, to make sure all the WordPress files are there and correct. If you do this, make sure to backup everything, in case.
