    Hey,
I tried searching and fixing a few things but my problem seem different to the others out there.

I can load the blog in FF and Safari but not Chrome (what i usually use)

I can’t load the login in any of the browsers (didn’t try IE at all cause it’s stupid).

I’ve tried updating the wp-config, and wp-login with fresh files from the wordpress in stall.

Domain is https://sydneynightowl.com.au/blog/, version 3.1, i didn’t just update it or anything.

Please help or point me in the right direction (right now i’m like a headless chicken)

Update: When i put fresh config and config-sample i couludn’t even see the blog in firefox anymore. So i put the original ones that were there when it stopped working.

Update: Tried wp-load too that didn’t help so restored the old version

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to try logging into your site to get this to kick in fully.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

Nah! I’ve seen a site with over 700 errors on one page. ??

ESMI you genius, thanks, renamed the theme 9so waas running without a theme it seemed on the blog page) then i could login, so i went into the child theme i had made and delete the last change i had done (adding functions.php (a clone of the one in the parent theme) and now it’s all good.

Thanks, any idea what i did wrong i thought that i did it right by child theme standards.

Haha, that was one of the first things i tried and the W3 validator wouldn’t even validate it, something must of changed cause at first i couldn’t even go to the blog in FF

Anyone know what i did wrong by adding the functions.php to my child theme?

I think that the theme has some serious problems. It’s even causing issues within the Firefox’s menu system.

even now? Or are you talking about before? And how would i start trouble shooting that?

thanks again for the help, been trying to learn as much as i can

functions.php cannot be a clone of the parent theme’s

both functions.php files are loaded, from child and parent

the child themes functions.php modifies the parents. You can change or remove things, or add new functions.

Or are you talking about before?

    Before.

If this is a child theme, have you tried activating the parent theme? Does that have similar problems?

@esmi no it doesn’t, but it’s all fixed now, thanks to you guys.

Voodoo, cheers for that i didn’t know, i’m good at CSS bad at PHP, haha, is good to learn.
