Blank page problem

    Your plugin is really good and I use it often.
    I encounter the problem of the blank page when I try to restore my websites locally.

    But recently I can not restore my sites locally. I tried with different browsers, with different environment (wamp, easyphp, laragon …etc) and with different websites / archives. Each time at the end of step 1 the browser displays a blank page. Juste once I got the window of step 2 but I could not make any links were clickable.

    Once step 1 finished, when I have the blank page, if I look at the directory or I put the zip archive and the file installer.php I see that the archive was unzipped.

    Thanks for the feedback! There are a few items in the FAQ that may provide a solution to this issue, this one may get you going.

    I do not have the WordFence plugin installed and I do not have a date or time displayed, just a blank page.

    I even try to backup by disabling all the plugins but the restore does not work either.

    Hey @10lem,

    I’m not seeing any issues in the log above. You might check your PHP error logs for some clues, it might be possible that you’re running into a timeout if that’s the case then you might try a manual extraction:

    I just tested this method but the result is the same : I have a new blank page as soon as I click on next page, no error message

    What about your PHP error logs are there any errors in that file?

    Hey @10lem,

    I’m not really sure, to be honest. I see this in the log:
    script ‘C:/laragon/www/installer.php’ not found or unable to stat

    which is odd if you’re able to see step 1. Normally if there was something wrong with a PHP call it would show more info. You might try to turn on full PHP error reporting to see if more information is shown.

    At this point, I really don’t have enough information to go off of.

    Hello Cory,
    Thank you for your reply. In the end I re-install local by flywheel and I managed to restore my site. The problem seems to come from Laragon.

    Hi guys.
    Indeed this is a great plugin, but I have the same problem on our dedicated server. It has PHP 7.0.32-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 (cli) ( NTS ).
    Just the restore window but no content.
    I don’t see any errors in the php log also.
    I’ve set all permissions, but no luck.
    Tried the same backup on another server and it works.
    I unarchived and tried the manual way, no luck.
    I’m getting desperate ?? Any other advices please ?
