  • I’m assuming, you’re talking about the blog mentioned in your profile?

If so, try fixing the validation errors, as they are the most likely source for these kind of problems.

Thank you, I will check out these errors. Are these on my style.css form. And is the validator telling me what to put in or do I need to figure that out myself?

Now I switched themes and I get this error.

Line 66 column 97: required attribute “alt” not specified.

    …tsu.org/History/samurai_photo2.jpg” />

The attribute given above is required for an element that you’ve used, but you have omitted it. For instance, in most HTML and XHTML document types the “type” attribute is required on the “script” element and the “alt” attribute is required for the “img” element.

Typical values for type are type=”text/css” for <style> and type=”text/javascript” for <script>.

I am getting the same errors for all the pictures in my posts it seems. Any help?

    anybody?

The alt= is for browsers/humans not able to see images. The concept is to provide text to describe what is in that image/element (example: alt=”Picture of me”). It’s required for validity, but will not screw up your layout.

Ok, I will try and fix this. If I can validate this page, will the problem(of the page not showing on startup but only after I refresh the page) end?

That won’t become clear until the validation errors are addressed. Some effect display, some don’t.

I fixed the validation issues, and the page got validated. But, that did not solve the problem. When I type in my website to the browser, I get a blank page. When I refresh it, it comes up. The same thing happens when I go to the comment section. I then get a blank page until I refresh it. Thank you for your help guys! I still need some more.

I still see a bunch of inline display issues (ul, lu, p).

Yes, I know. I had switched to the classic theme. Then I changed the picture problems, and revalidated. It validated and I still had the same problems, so I switched back to the old theme and figured I would try again. I have contacted some people and it works on some peoples browsers, on others no. I am still having the same problem on my computer though.

I received this domain from a partner that is using dreamhost. We are splitting the server and costs. He gave me the domain name etc…. We are running two different blogs from the server. I do have access to the FTB though. Could it be server problems or something else?

Yosemite, thank you for your help! I am really at a loss. I like your website, and would like to know what language translation plug-in you are using.

    Translate: https://trevorcreech.com/blog/2006/04/27/translate-widget/

If you get something to validate and still have problems, report back here so someone can take another look. Without the ’embedded’ errors we have a much better chance to determine what might be going on.

Ok, I got the classic theme to validate, I will keep it on that for now so we can figure this out. I still have the same problem.

I took a look and I no longer need to hit Refresh (no blank-page-first).

I am still having this problem, on any theme I use. Validated or not. Help!
