    So we are UK based.

WordPress 4.4.2 running Twenty Fourteen theme. No other plug-ins active.

SL has found the correct longitudes & lattitudes for the 2 test UK locations I’ve set up.

All I get when I search is a blank page with the rotating ‘egg timer’.

I’ve tested on latest FF and Chrome browsers – same results.

Blank page is grey and mouse turns to small hand so I think I’m on a Google map page but maybe in the middle of the Atlantic!! I can’t zoom or move the page – or if I can it’s moving to more grey.

I checked the Chrome Developer page to see if there are any errors, none.

Sorry, Viadat, It is a copy of a customer’s site and had been hacked.
I have a clean version now, I just need to upload and configure it. I’ll Reply to this post when it’s available again. …/John

    Hi,

The site (un-hacked version) is back up. The page appears but the map is blank as before but searching doesn’t cause the spinning timer as it did before.

Needs to be updated first. It’s saying version v1.2.37 — that was released over 6 years ago. Unfortunately can’t support anything that old.

Ok great — it looks like you have WordFence running on your site. Try to create exceptions to Store Locator related files and folders since that’s what what could appear to be blocking sl-xml.php.

Yikes, I don’t know how I manged to install an old version, especially from 6 years ago!!

I’ve just installed v3.97.1 and funnily enough I’m getting the same problems. The Chrome developer errors are …

    GET https://theme-fusion.com/avadaxml/wp-content/themes/Avada/images/page_title_bg.png 404 (Not Found)
    GET https://www.cbsb.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/store-locator/sl-xml.php 403 (Forbidden)

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘documentElement’ of null

I’ve disabled WordFence, set the permissions to all \store-locator folders & files to 755 and I still get a blank screen and spinning waiting icon.

    Chrome errors are now:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘documentElement’ of null

Feel free to make contact via our website — you can reference this post .. in the meantime, check to make sure no blocking or security-modified .htaccess file have been left behind in your WP root or /wp-content/ folder, even after turning off related plugins
