Blank page error upon install of Mystique

Hi, I installed Mystique for the first time today to my blog and it turns the entire blog into a blank white page. Upon discovering this, I uninstalled the theme, deactivated all plugins (Essentially it was a fresh install of WordPress at that point), and reinstalled the theme. I showed up with the same error (a useless blank page at the main page of the blog). I tried doing an actual fresh install of wordpress to a separate directory, installed the theme, and I discovered the same problem.

Is this a compatibility issue with WordPress 3.1? or is there some other error going on? Thoughts? I would really like to be able to use/alter this theme but obviously can’t when I can’t see what I’m editing.
