• I have really big issues, starting with upgrading wordpress to 3.0.1. Admin page was bugged so i decided to backup my blog and try a fresh installation. But.. again, blank pages on the installation itself. How the hell can i fix that? That means no plugins must cause that..

  • Typically, a blank screen during install means you didn’t get a complete and intact set of WordPress files uploaded to your host. I’d consider downloading a fresh copy of WordPress from the Download tab at the top of this page, then use something like 7-Zip to extract the files. Then reupload the files to your host. Review Uploading WordPress to a remote host and make sure you are using ASCII transfer mode in your FTP client.

If you have an .htaccess file, that too could be causing the problem–rename that if necessary.

    Tried everything.
Unziping, uploading via ASCII transfer mode, no .htaccess found. The issue stll exists. May i ask.. can my hosting provider be the problem? Permissions, restrictions etc?

My host I can upload a zip file as using a ftp and then extract it on server check if your host provides you to extract on server.

As when upload individual files and folder it takes a long time and may get corrupted when uploading.

Did you deactivate all plugins and switch back to default theme as most of time the plugins or the theme are not compatible.

Well.. i dont have any plugins, because i’m trying to install a fresh copy of that wordpress version. I have backups of my post. I cant enter in the admin section simply because i cant finish the installation. I’ll try this metod u said about and we will see what will happen. Thanks for the help btw. I’ll write soon.

Also make sure you clear your browser cache and cookies and try again.

And again blank page. I’ve passed the db/usrname/passwd entering but seems like there is an error in the install script. I’ve extracted the files the same way u told me. Any other ideas?
Dunno but i think my host provider is causing this.. Is it possible?

Fresh info: i wrote my doma in (my blog is there in the main folder) and it wanted to enter my blog name, etc. Then.. again blank page.

Don’t believe it would be a host provider problem. Also don’t think there is any report (and outstanding) bugs in the installer.

Note, if your site is at https://lyubz.com/ it looks okay to me.

    Hey again.
Yep. The problem was not in my host provider, neither the extracting/uploading of files. I took my roommate’s laptop and the blog just appeared. I tried to enter it with Inet explorer and again, the blog was there. I cant open it with Google Chrome. Tried to clear cache/cookies, the issue is still there. So its a browser problem, right?

same here I can open your website fine on FF and chrome

Thats really odd. Govpatel, have u ever had issues with opening sites/blogs with chrome?

No I have never came across opening a website on browsers what ever the problem is it must in your computer.
