• I was running WP 2.0, and things were working ok, mostly. Suddenly I couldn’t add new posts. I’d go into my admin interface, select ‘write post,’ write something, hit ‘save’ or ‘publish,’ and get a blank page. My submission did not appear on my blog.

    So I upgraded to 2.5.1, thinking even if that doesn’t fix it at least I can get more support. It didn’t fix it.

    Now, I’m seeing something similar with comments. When I submit a comment to a post on my blog, I get an empty page.

    I found this, which was not the problem:

    https://plugins.baptiste.us/wordpress/blank-pages-when-posting-comments-in-wordpress/

    And a few others that weren’t either.

    When I check the apache logs, I see nothing indicating an error. I do see the POST in the activity log. Looking in phpMyAdmin, I see I’m running MySQL 4.12. I have 4.2 MB of comments for some reason.

    I don’t think I’m running out of space. I’ve used about half my space on the system according to DirectAdmin, a bit less.

    One big complaint: no specific error indication, no message, no nothing. At IBM we called it ‘serviceability:’ when something went wrong, there was supposed to be a way to figure out what happened. Sorely missing.

    Is there an option I can

    I think it’s most likely a plugin or theme that’s causing it. Try deleting all your plugins file off the server via FTP and see if the Dashboard will load.

    No, that’s not it. Tried deleting everything out of /wp-content/plugins, and I get the same result.

    Is there any sort of switch in PHP that I could set to make it display error messages if there are any? I tried

    error_reporting(E_ERROR | E_WARNING | E_PARSE | E_NOTICE);

    in wp-admin/post.php, and saw no error message, either on the page, or in the logs. I don’t know much PHP. Anything else I could try?
