Hello and thanks for your plugin.
After updating the plugin to the last release the website returned a blank page.
We find out that the reason was that we renamed the ‘wp-content’ folder for security reasons. Indeed in the plugin folder there is a relative path to the ‘wp-content’ folder.

Just in case someone has the same issue just modify the path at line 162 in the file simple-share-buttons-adder/php/class-plugin-base.php

Do you think it will be possible for the next releases to replace this with a dynamic path, without specify the name of the wp-content-folder?

    Thank you!
    Bye!

  • When I remotely updated this plugin, my wp-admin threw a 500 internal server error. I renamed the plugin folder to regain access, and then tried to activate the plugin again directly from wp-admin and got this error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare add_action_links() (previously declared in /home/schoolsa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-tweets-widget/recent-tweets.php:37) in /home/schoolsa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder/simple-share-buttons-adder.php on line 58

Hi! We just updated and it’s working well! Thank you for your reply and for your quick support!

Unfortunately, I’m still getting the same error and I’m trying to activate version 7.3.7:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare add_action_links() (previously declared in /home/schoolsa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/recent-tweets-widget/recent-tweets.php:37) in /home/schoolsa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder/simple-share-buttons-adder.php on line 58

Just so you know, as the error suggests, there was a conflict with the RECENT TWEETS WIDGET plugin. Once that was deactivated, the Simple Share Buttons Adder activated and worked fine.

Same issue here, but with the WP Email Users plugin.

You might want to think about adding a plugin specific prefix to your function names.

    Hi @chrslcy & @yakti-ruud,

Thanks for letting us know of this issue, we’ve made a note of it and will include it in our 7.3.8. update later today. I’ll be sure to let you know once we deploy.

The plugin conflict issue is resolved with the latest issue (7.3.8).

Five star support. Very much appreciated.
