    Hello,

I’ve tried to install Stockholm-theme to The themes list.

After pressing Install-button after choosing the zip-file it said multiple times it said something like “waiting for server in address xxxxx.com (my site) and then “504 Gate way Time Out”.

It never said installation ok, but suddenly I saw the theme there on the list and clicked in order to take it in use. –> It said I need to install certain plugins as well before I can use the theme. —> So I started going through the list: Most of them were installed and activated fine, one or two said unsuccessfully. In the end the list of the plugins was empty.
    And so was my page.
    Now it only says:
“The xxxxxx.com page isn’t working. xxxxxxxxx.com is currently unable to handle this request. 500”

Also my xxxx.com/wp-admin tells the same, so I cannot even remove the theme or return to the old one.

    What should I do?

You should be able to access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully get your site working again.

Thank you for your answer. Sorry I’m such an amateur: what is “directory”? I don’t think I’m able to activate and rename the folders. I tried in my hosting service c-panel.

Problem solved: js_composer was causing problems. It was deactivated. Now it seems to work.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, but I’m glad you got this figured out. Thanks for letting us know the cause.
