Blank page after posting

  • I just started using WP and am encountering this strange behavior. After I click publish on a new post, it takes a long time and then returns a blank page. The article posts correctly but shouldn’t I be returned to the write post page? If I hit the back button I do get to the blank post.php page. Is that the way it’s supposed to work?

  • If you delete pingomatic.com in your Options, Writing, Update Services, does it fix the problem?

    Thanks! I had replaced pingomatic with a more comprehensive list of sites to ping. Now I’ve reverted to just pingomatic and it’s working fine.

    If you do some searching here (or google/yahoo) there are some plugins what will run that pinging stuff in the background so as not to cause your initial issue (if you want to add the big list back in).

    Darned if I recall the name, but I know there’s at least one that’ll do it.

    i currently have the same problem, but its after i installed cForm plugin.
