Blank page after creating a sub-site

Hi, my network install seems to have gone OK and I can create sub-sites with no errors, but the new sub-site home page is blank.

Is this just because there’s no content? Or do I also need to create the sub-domain in CPANEL and point it to the main domain URL? I have enabled wildcard sub-domains successfully.

Is it a problem that I am redirecting WWW to the base URL in .htaccess? I suspect it could be.

The sub-domain URL I’ve created with the blank page is https://china.asiantraveltips.com if that’s any help.
