Go to SlimStat > Settings > Maintenance and click the NO PANIC Button.

If that doesn’t help, increase the amount of memory allocated to PHP.

Apparently even if you set it to use 256 Mb, your PHP is still limited to 32Mb ??

is 32 MB enough for php? I mean the previous versions did work.

Browscap has more than doubled its size in the last few months, and it now required almost 20 MB to load the data into memory. We’re working to change that in version 3.5.7.

We found a way to greatly reduce the amount of memory needed by browscap by breaking the file into pieces. Now the maximum amount of memory required is just above 2MB, one tenth of what it was before. We’ll introduce this new feature in version 3.5.7.

you’d better hurry up releasing 3.5.7 as far as I’m concerned.

… yesterday I’ve updated wp-slimstat tot 3.5.6 and the website must have gone down without me noticing, but Google analytics revealed it would have been almost instant failure.

Today I got a call the website was down and indeed, I was shown the WordPress ‘White-screen-of-death’ .. and already started pointing my finger at my provider .. I hadn’t done anything .. or did I? Renaming the plug-in folder already got the website back and after adding each plug-in separately I found out wp-slimstat was the culprit.

It saddens me to say but I have to disable it until this is fixed.

I hope you get it up and running again, I really love your work!

No flame intended. I even complimented you on your good work. I’m sorry if you feel offended. Don’t be. English is not my native language so if it gave a wrong impression I apologize.

Nevertheless, something went wrong for me with this update and apparently I’m not the only one. You must understand that a website going off-line is very frustrating as long as the cause hasn’t been found.

I’ll try to get back to 3.5.5 and keep on using that until the time comes for us to try again.

with wp-slimstat-master.zip from github it works now.

Great. Thank you for your feedback. You can also decrease your memory limit, if you want, since now SlimStat doesn’t need more than 2 megs (peak usage) ??
