Blank Page

This is a new install from Hostgator Fantastico De Luxe. When I select view or preview with index.html loaded, I get my old site page, but I don’t see the new WordPress page or post. Selecting view or preview with index.php loaded (with the index.html deleted) I get a blank page. Using WordPress default page theme. No pugins used. What am I missing here? Thanks for your time.
