    Hi,

I already had the blank PDF issue when downloading it (the printing is OK). So, I have installed the “mPDF addon for PDF Invoices” version 1.2.3, as suggested in this thread. And it worked. But there is still a table format issue (check this image, compared to what it is expected).

I decided to tackle the table format issue after a while.

I updated the plugin to the latest version 4.7.1.

I played around with the PDF library option (changing between Dompdf and Mpdf). Also I decided to replace the company name by the company logo.
And now I’m back to downloading a blank PDF invoice, even with the Mpdf selected and installed. The printing is still working as always.

Also, the SKU text is not translated to UGS automatically as it is done for the other texts (translated to French without my intervention).

    Please help!

Just to understand: why the need to use an extra addon to be able to download a working PDF (not a blank one)? It is needed for French?

    Looking forward to your reply,

    My best regards,

UPDATE: this issue, of having a blank invoice PDF again, happens only in the invoice I was testing while making changes, and only in the front office (when trying to download the invoice from the customer account order list). It can be downloaded with content from the back office order page. Also, the other invoices, I have in my tests, are working OK (meaning downloaded with content).

PS: I have deactivated cache plugin during the tests.

    Hi @joe16,

    Thanks for reaching out.

We are not able to replicate the issue on our end. Kindly create a new invoice template and check. If the issue persists, kindly share the following details for a better understanding of your system environment.

    • WooComerce system status report (WooCommerce > Status > System status > Get system report).
    • Screenshot of error message if any while downloading or opening the document.
    • Screenshot of “System Info” tab from plugin settings (Invoice/Packing > General Settings > Help Guide > System Info).
    • Full screenshot of the “General” page (Invoice/Packing > General Settings > General) of plugin settings.

Kindly mask any user-sensitive information when sharing the screenshot requested above. You may share the details via?this link?if you have any privacy concerns.

    Hi @webtoffeesupport,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have created a new template and now the blank invoice issue is fixed. I am able to download a PDF invoice with content.

    1. There is still an issue with table format, as stated above. When I download a PDF, the table format is like this (not OK). But when I print the invoice, the table format is like this (OK). How to fix this display issue?
    2. The SKU text is not translated to UGS automatically, as it is done for the other texts (translated to French without my intervention). How to deal with this?
    3. Just to understand: why the need to use an extra addon to be able to download a working PDF (not a blank one)? It is needed for French?

    Looking forward to your reply,

    Hi @joe16,

    Thank you for your response.

We weren’t able to replicate the issue with the table format. Could you let us know if you’re using any code snippets to modify the columns? Also, please share your WooComerce system status report (WooCommerce > Status > System status > Get system report) for a better understanding of your system environment. You may share the details via?this link?if you have any privacy concerns.

Additionally, please note that the DOMPDF library used in our plugin does not fully support RTL languages and certain characters. We recommend using the mPDF plugin for those cases, but if you’re not working with RTL languages, you don’t need to use the mPDF add-on.

We also noticed that the translation for SKU is missing in the French language within our language file. We will include this in our upcoming release. Thank you for your understanding!

    Hi @webtoffeesupport,

    Thank you for your reply.

Regarding using any code snippets to modify the columns: no, it is not the case.

Regarding the mPDF?plugin: in my case, the website is en French (later I will add English). So based on your explanation, I won’t be in need of this plugin and the DOMPDF library would be sufficient. But, I installed it because the downloaded PDF invoices were blank from the start (printing always worked OK). And using the mPDF?plugin was the only suggested solution as in this thread.

Normally, as the website is not in RTL language, I should be using only the DOMPDF library without the need of the mPDF?plugin. This is what bothers me. Please let me know what do you think. Do you have any explanation?

For now, I will check if there are installed plugins that cause this issue, and I will get back to you with the information and the system report if needed.

Thank you for taking into consideration the SKU translation.

    My best regards,

    Hi @joe16,

Hope you were able to troubleshoot whether any other plugin is causing the conflict. As we did not receive any response from you, we will assume you got this working to your requirements. If you still have any more questions for us, please open a new thread, because we will mark this one as resolved.
