blank inconsistent space between recent post titles in sidebar

    Those are your post dates, but they are set to white and therefore not visible. For a short title, the date isn’t pushed to a second line, hence the seeming randomness. You need to change the color of the date font. (Or hide the post date – by de-selecting ‘Display post date?’ in the recent posts widget.)
