Blank Customizer Screen – Added Fonts API Key and checkd perms

  • I’m having some issues with the Customizer when I have this plugin activated.

    The customizer shows the sidebar, but there are no options to edit anything and the viewing area is blank as well.

    I added a Google Fonts API Key as per suggestion of another thread here on the plugin’s support page.

    I also don’t think it’s a permissions issue as I have no trouble accessing anything else. I can’t recall what I set it to off the top of my head, 644 maybe?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi steezeburger,
    It’s hard to determine what the problem without seeing your site, but try the following:

    • Check if you have the latest version of this plugin and wordpress installed.
    • Check your WordPress error logs for any messages that occur when you try to load the customizer.
    • Check your browser console when you load the customizer and see if there are any errors there.

    Thanks for the timely reply Sunny!

    • Everything is up to date
    • No errors generated after setting debug and debug log to true
    • Console is clean on load

    It’s not super pertinent at the moment, but I was planning on making some big changes using your plugin some time next week. I’ll keep digging and update this if I figure anything out.

    There were actually two warnings in my console:

    TypeError: a.ui is undefined

    and

    TypeError: b.val(…).wpColorPicker is not a function

    I thought these were general warnings from something else (we had some issues with a lightbox’s js), but they only appear when Easy Fonts is activated.

    Is there a conflict with some other script that is being loaded?

    There is definately a javascript issue then. Which other plugins do you have active on your install?
