I’m on the latest Yoast and WordPress versions. But when I enable Yoast (and I’ve narrowed it down to just this plugin), on the back-end pages, posts and custom posts go blank. It means I can’t edit these page/post types when this plugin is enabled.
I’ve also noticed that I am unable to edit the title and meta description for these too. All it shows is the focus keyword and meta keyword boxes in the Yoast box. Any advice?
I’m sure it worked flawlessly before an update around a year ago…

  • That sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
    1. Check for conflicts.
    2. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

So I’ve found that there is no plugin conflict, turning off all plugins beside Yoast doesn’t resolve it. However, it could be a conflict with the plugin. I’ve created a Github issue, so please keep me up to date if its being worked upon.

    Hi,

As long as the GH issue has been created you will get updates via email whenever actions occur on the issue such as comments or changes.

In addition, we would also ask that you please confirm the issue still happens when you have a standard theme such as 2017. We ask, as from the previous response it is not clear if you also switched themes in addition to turning off plugins.
