It appears that any category page on my site serves a completely blank, white page. I had to turn the plugin off to stop this. Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks.

  • I’m having the same exact issue. Deactivated every plugin I have then reactivated one by one. Yoast SEO is the culprit ??

@geminirand @shannonelizabeth We understand that you are experiencing an issue with the SEO Premium plugin in that your category pages are blank. There is currently an issue report open with our developers on this issue here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/10831 . However, we were unable to replicate the issue as reported so if you are able to provide additional information on how to replicate this issue on the issue report it would help facilitate it’s resolution.

Thanks. Would it help if I turned the plugin back on and pointed you to the page where it’s happening?

I also turned the plug-in off. Do you need it turned back on to test? I’d rather not leave it like that for a long time because all my posts are then inaccessible. I’m using the Heuman Theme.

Okay, so I did a little more digging. I realized the issue only occurs if I also have the All in One SEO plugin also activated. It doesn’t happen if only All in One is on, but it does happen if both are activated. So, I guess the two are incompatible.

    Thanks for the assistance,

We don’t recommend using several SEO plugins, as this can cause conflicts as well as duplicate output and content. If the issue resolves itself if All-in-One SEO is deactivated, then this indeed could be a conflict between the two plugins. Can you confirm that the issue goes away if it’s only Yoast SEO v8.1 and a default theme like TwentySeventeen?

I can confirm this as I also had All-in-One SEO going. With that turned off and Yoast on, everything is fine.

    Thanks Shannon and Michael!

Same for me; rather embarrassed that I didn’t realize I had both Yoast and All-in-One SEO active.
    Many thanks everyone.
