blank category page

  • A page category “marriage” on my website, suddenly went blank with no post or content in it.

    In my attempt to resolve the issue, i tried to edit the page, only to discover that the parent category is missing from the drop down menu.

    Could that be the problem? What can i do to fix it?

    Note: That is the only page with that issue. Every other one is working well.

  • Is the category still listed in the wp-admin (dashboard) -> Posts -> Categories page? If so, check to see if WordPress saved any revisions of the page itself. When you try to edit the page, check in the Publish box for any Revisions.

    Also, there could be a plugin/theme conflict. Easiest way to check for that is to install this plugin and follow its instructions on how to check for a plugin/theme conflict:

    As that plugin was created by the WordPress community for situations like this. It allows you to deactivate all plugins and switch to a default theme without it affecting anyone else visiting/viewing the site.

    Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out.
    I checked my dashboard but the page is not listed among other categories. I also toggled the revision button but it contains the same one i currently have.

    On a third attempt, with the plugin: I had already downloaded the health check plugin which i check from time to time. However, upon my latest check, it did not detect any plugin/theme conflict.

    I have checked again, but nothing is detected.

    What else can i do?

    Please i still need help on my website. The ‘Marriage‘ category is still blank and i have tried all the possible things mentioned in the previous response.
