Recently, we noticed that the Site Kit page is blank when we visit it. In some cases, the WordPress plugins page also stops working. We have no idea how this could suddenly happen without any changes being made on our end.

The websites are based on Bedrock/Sage and are managed by Composer. The two websites we are aware of are both up-to-date, including plugins and WordPress.

Do you have any idea how this could happen all of a sudden?

I will fill out the form via Google Forms.

Additionally, we had our system administrator check, but no error messages were found—just the blank pages. The rest of the website works fine, and the plugin works locally.

We also tried removing and reinstalling the plugin, but the problem persisted. In the source code, we can still see the GA/GTM despite the blank page in the backend.

Hi @gchris2 thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help you look into this. Thank you firstly for sharing the Site Health Information that’s very useful indeed. While I can’t see anything immediately standing out, please could you share some further information:

    1. Do you encounter the same when following the troubleshooting steps here with just Site Kit active in troubleshooting mode?
    2. Do you see any console errors when on the blank page?
    3. A screenshot or recording of what you are seeing on screen

Please do let me know if you have any questions on the above. Once you have shared the information I will be able to suggest some next steps for you.

    Hi Adam,

    • Activating the troubleshooting plugin results in a blanco website, so I removed this plugin.
    • There is no error, only an issue ; https://freeimage.host/i/dHMsozv
    • The screenshot shows what I’m seeing, instant blanco page, including the plugins page.

@gchris2 Thank you for sharing the information. When checking your screenshot I can see that the URL includes your current wp-admin path which includes the?wp?path (the location of your WordPress files). Have you at any stage changed the location of your WordPress files? Does updating this URL in address bar to remove the?wp allow you to see the Site Kit dashboard?

Let me know if you have any questions on the above. We may need to check your records on the Site Kit service but before doing that there are a few more things we can try such as the above.

@gchris2 I just wanted to check back in with you to see if you are still experiencing this issue?

The issue is still present. We use Bedrock/Sage as our development stack, so /wp/ is indeed there, but that’s intentional. We have 30 other websites where this is also the case, but only these two websites have the issue I described. It happened out of nowhere; it always worked, but for the past two weeks, it hasn’t.

@gchris2 Thanks for the update and sorry to hear this. I have been testing on similar environments as I know we have seen issues in the past with bedrock setups. Unfortunately I haven’t yet been able to replicate the issue you are facing.

Could I ask you to try a Site Kit reset on the affected sites and see if you encounter the same after setting up once more?

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for your response. After clicking the ‘Reset sitekit’ button, it results in a blank page. Additionally, the Site Kit page itself also remains blank.

@gchris2 Thanks for trying and sorry to hear that you are still facing the issue. Could I please ask if the sites that have this issue were ever moved from a different setup onto your now Bedrock/Sage setup? And if so, did you have Site Kit set up on them at this time?

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to?open a new support topic?if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
