Just curious, but what is the purpose of the blacklistedIP.txt? I take it you can add ip’s manually. Does it add them to the blacklist list on the database as well?

Next…my server was going down a lot, the hosting company was locking me out when there were a few brute force attacks. Now, with your plugin, that hasn’t happened. There are still a few ips that hit me, one of which made over 5,000 attempts, didn’t bring the admin login down. Thank you!!!! Your plugin has helped me immensely!

    Hello Prinehart,
I have answered to your queries via email ??

but for others who want to know about blacklistIP.txt, please check submenu “Extra Security” under “IP Blacklist Cloud”

Most of WP admins are facing lock down due to attacks on their sites which puts load on shared servers. Once you blacklist an IP (or many IPs) you can export them to blacklistIP.txt file and by using Standalone script (https://freelancer.com/marketplace/product/Simple-PHP-IP-Blacklist-Script.html) you can stop IP from hitting WP engine structure. This script works as a DOOR between WordPress and Visitor.

    Regards,
    Adeel
