Blacklisted Plugin

I don’t know why. I know that Godaddy does not allow but first time I hear that WpEngine does not allow. I will contact them.

Yes, please do that. I find this plugin invaluable, but it would be unfortunate if it was blacklisted by more than one service.

Even WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache are forbidden as well.

Which makes me think that because WP Engine has its own caching is possibly a reason why they blacklist it? Or maybe they’re are corroborating with GoDaddy’s list (a little too conspiratorial)? I don’t really know and don’t care to guess why.

GoDaddy I can understand: they have a WordPress Managed hosting that’s pretty specific and they don’t want other plugins conflicting with their hosting setup for WP sites (yeah, I’m a little biased against GoDaddy).

I advise hostgator and hostnine ??

I work at WP Engine and manage the disallowed plugins list. Let me see if I can help clear things up… ??

The reason that WP Fastest Cache is blacklisted is because it conflicts with our server level caching layer, EverCache. Because most managed hosts use something similar (a custom tuned server level caching layer) you’ll find that they also block caching plugins such as yours, W3TC, and WP Super Cache.

It’s nothing personal, honest!

P.S. I can’t speak for Go Daddy, but I believe they used our original blacklist as a basis for their list when they launched their managed hosting a couple years ago.
