I have been building my first website. I downloaded the Black studio tinyMX widget. I have been using it mostly to put content like youtube videos on the sidebar, the problem is that the same video appears on every page when I really one a different one on each page. I have tried ticking and unticking different boxes on the “all pages” editing page, but nothing seems to work.

The only thing I can think of is that I followed along with a youtube tutorial when building the site and put on all the pages at the same time – rather than finishing one page then adding another once it was done. In which case I would need to delete everything but the first page and the then redo the rest. Would that work? or does anyone know a way just to work on individual pages, or at least the sidebars?

    Thank you in advance!

I think you’re looking for a plugin like Restrict Widgets which allows you to determine on which pages/sections a widget appears. Once you’ve installed and activated the widget, go back to the BlackStudio TinyMCE widget in your sidebar and open it. At the bottom you’ll now see a “Display/Hide Widget” dropdown. (This option will actually appear for all widgets, not just the TinyMCE one.)

If that plugin doesn’t work for you there are other options that do much the same thing, including part of Jetpack.

Thanks a lot Michelle – just installed and used the “Restrict Widgets” as you recommended, it’s exactly what I needed. You saved me a lot of bother.

esmi – sorry I posted in the wrong place.

    Thanks again both of you.
