Black box instead of watermark text on images

I returned to a blog after a few months, in which time WP and plugin both updated to their latest version.
Earlier, the images were always marked automatically without any problem. But since I started posting recently again, instead of watermark there’s an opaque black box where the watermark should be.Example post, made today: https://ambarsariya.com/character-poster-ashish-duggal/
I went into the settings, remove image and re-select image. Watermark preview shows the right image.
