And in what circumstances are you getting it?
Are you trying to use custom width/height?

I am having the same problem. Just installed the plugin today. Inserted the media player as instructed (both ways actually, using the insert media button and also just pasting in the shortcode) and get the black box on top. Song plays fine, just looks silly. I changed the height to 15 and it didn’t make any difference at all.

In fact, I see that the black box appears only when you zoom in the page… at the 100% size, all is fine…

The player was working fine on my blog and then I upgraded WordPress and went to the newer responsive version of the Magazine Premium theme. Now I get no player and a black box on my MAC.
