    Hi,

I have a problem with setting up the header image.
When I choose an image I got black bars on both sides (left and right) … that means the header image is not full page width.
    How can I fix this?

    Thanks!

    Regards,
    Philipp

    Hi,

I created the site on my local environment, but here is your free demo …

    https://demo.academiathemes.com/?theme=cityhall-lite

and in this demo there are also black borders on the left and right side.

    Thanks and regards,

    Hello,

You are right. After looking at 100+ users of this theme, I noticed that not many have very high resolution photos. And because of the previous styling, those smaller photos were not looking well.

So I decided several versions ago to crop the cover images to 1600×500 and then center them with this black background.

Is this a big issue for your case?

    Best regards,
    Dumitru B.

    Hi,

I think the website with the black borders looks not so good … in my opinion it also looks like the user choosed a wrong resolution for the header image. Is there a way to change it to complete width or at least to change the background color manually?

    Thanks and regards,
    Philipp

In that case you might want to consider City Hall Pro.

This is the CSS selector that contains the black background:

    #site-masthead-cover-menu {}
