black areas in 360° panorama

  • Hi,

    i need some help with the settings. If i add a 360° panorama i have this black areas at the top and bottom (see testlink) and the parts of the image are not fitting well. What can i change?

    Hi,

    It’s an issue with panoramas taken with Samsung’s cameras. The problem is that WP Photo Sphere is only compatible with equirectangular panoramas (the most common type of projection). By default (I don’t know if that can be changed), Samsung seems to use another projection. That means that this is not really a bug: WP Photo Sphere interprets your panorama as if it were an equirectangular one.

    Maybe in the future WP Photo Sphere will be able to interpret these types of panoramas. Meanwhile, you can convert your panoramas into equirectangular ones.
