Black and White Hats – And I'm Forbidden

Help. Yesterday I got the infamous (I know now) 500 Internal Server Error. Web Host said it was probably .htaccess file. After a while it was only on the homepage. Wassup was reporting hacking from Black Hats anti-security in Romania. I couldn’t find the .htaccess file. Today the error is 403 Forbidden and I can’t get in anywhere. The good news is that .htaccess is back and from the web host’s latest visitors log, the white hats have now come in.

Don’t know if the formatting will stick, but here is an example from the log:
