Bitnami/Nginx WordPress permalinks

    Hi guys,

    I have made a staging site and all worked great until I made some changes and then went to click on a link and then redirect to live site.

    I have a bitnami with nginx wordpress setup and I have tried to follow your guidance for adding the manual change in the nginx.conf file and it has not worked.

    Do you have any guidance for the bitnami with nginx setup as I feel the guides you give do not cover for bitnami with nginx, rather one or the other?

    Has anyone else managed to navigate this?

    May I know which hosting providing are you using? Is it an “Amazon Lightsail” instance?

    Or you started everything manually by yourself on a VPS? Is that the bitnami package you are using?

    Just a quick note: switch back to simple permalinks on WordPress > Settings > Permalink to see if this solves the problem of redirecting to Live.

    Thanks for the replies.

    I have checked on the permalinks and set them to simple on the created staging site and sadly although it shows as changed the URLs still divert to the live site.

    The site was created by an AWS ami for bitnami/nginx with SSL wordpress, so not through AWS lightsail or VPS
