Bit.ly not compatible with WordTwit

If I choose Bit.ly as my url shortener and put in my username / api WordTwit no longer posts tweet (even though it says it has).

I’ve double checked the username /api credentials but to no avail.

Have switched to tinyurl and it works fine, so guessing there’s some conflict between bit.ly and wordtwit?
