Biography not saving on profile update v2.6.7

  • Since the 2.6.7 version, I note that the user biography (description) is not saving on updating the user profile.

    Have tested with all other plugins deactivated and default WP theme. Same result.

    Unsure why.

  • @nsinelnikov Yes, I am using the global settings from your screenshots as default. But today I already tried to disable and enable it and this did not work, when I remember right. I had to enable it for a brief moment in the custom settings for the specific form. The global setting was enabled all the time.

    I don’t really know the code, but from my logical standpoint, because of the security issues, now there maybe is a list with post parameters UM accepts and for some reason without this workaround it was not in this list and did not accept it.

    Could you try again this pre-release version. It seems I have found the reason and the proper way on how to fix the issue.

    I now tried the pre-release version on my production but it didn’t work out of the box. I had to enable the custom settings for the specific form again and set the mentioned option to “yes” and then save it. Afterwards I was able do deactivate the custom settings again, and it still works. Seems like something is happening in the background when you set this option that fixes the issue.

    Sorry again, could you clarify, did you use the previously downloaded pre-release version or re-download it yesterday evening? Just we are working on it in real-time and there have been added changes to a part that can affect the biography field 12 hours ago.

    Sorry for the delayed answer. My colleague has found the same issue on his fresh install. So there is the final solution with the fix https://github.com/ultimatemember/ultimatemember/tree/development/2.6.8
