Billing details on checkout

    Hi

    I’ve looked high and low for css and php to override/disable the billing details section at checkout because the sheer amount of unnecessary detail is leading to sky-high cart abandonment even from motivated buyers.

    Does anyone have either css or php to do the job?

    I want something I can add to custom css or custom function plugins so that updates don’t overwrite it.

    Can you please provide me your shop page URL so I can take a look a checkout page?

    Just for information some payment gateway needs billing details.

    Thank you Pratik. I’m using only PayPal, so there should be no need for billing details – that should be between PayPal and the buyer.

    Thanks for the page link. I have tried to add product in cart but it shows me “Your cart is empty.”

    Ok, I have taken a look at my local server and it does not show “Billing Details” for PayPal payment gateway.

    It looks like that you ‘Taxes’ enable. Please navigate to plugin Settings > Taxes tab and see “Enable Taxes” checkbox is tick or not.

    If it is tick then billing details will come to calculate the taxes based on country and state.

    Hi Pratik

    Your suggestion provided the key. If I remove taxes and instead bear the tax myself, then the billing details no longer apply.

    It’s not an ideal solution but it will have to do for now.
