Hi WooCommerce Checkout Manager,

We are using this plugin to set up our checkout page.

We set Street Address, Town / City, State and Zip code as required fields, but they show up on checkout page as optional. However, if you leave those field blank, it will give you a warning like you need to fill out those fields. It looks very confusing.

I’m wondering is there any way to remove the ‘optional’ after all of the address fields.

Having same issues. Problem remains same.

Secondly I have found another problem with it. I have made Zip as compulsory but when user select place such as Dubai in particularly Dubai, there is no Zip and gives warning please fill it. I have asked the client to ask there clients to use 00000 as the zip in those cases. Could check with the issue too ?

I’m having the same issues. I’ve tried version 4.2.6 but the problem remains.
It works fine in the shipping information though – post code is noted as required.

Issue has been solved but a new problem has arrived.
When I create a new order, I asking for additional data.
Which is optional and now in the text it does shows (optional).

Is there any way to remove it ?

That’s correct, woocommerce shows * for required fields and (optional) for optional fields

But until 4.3.6 optional wasn’t shown. Is there any way to hide optional ?

No is not possible is a WooCommerce core feature

I have the same issue with zip code and countries where zip code is optional.
Nigeria, UAB. Checkout page gives an error “Billing Zip is a required field.” for Nigeria.

I see there is “Override for State fields” a bit below. So, “override for postcode” might go somewhere there as well I think ??
