• Ok, so this is a combination of what others seem to have experienced… Billie update brought me error warnings routed in function.php and a host of other glitches.

    Had I come here earlier this (I realise now) was a plugin thing that could have been easily routed out but I didn’t come here first, I went directly to my file manager and started to chase down what became never ending and ever changing error warnings – eventually wp locked me out completely from the dashboard with a fatal error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_action() in /usr/local/pem/vhosts/239441/webspace/httpdocs/weareislanders.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 78;

    This is after replacing the theme and function.php files through my FTP so these should now be the original files from before any of my messing but I remain locked out and completely at a loss.

    All help appreciated – anyone got a time machine?!

    Thanks
    kate

  • Hi,

    Just a few ideas

    – Change the theme to TwentyFifteen (via PHPMyAdmin or equivalent).
    – Replace all folders except your wp-content with a fresh install of WordPress.

    I think this might help.

    Cheers,
    Ramesh

    PS: If you get a time machine, let me know. I need one too. ?? Hope all gets sorted.
