• I’ve just switched from Prestashop to WooCommerce for my webshop, but I just ran into some serious problems after we went live.

    I’ve live-tested some orders, and they worked fine (with PayPal and our payment service provider). However, the first 2 orders made by unknown customers did not show up in the back office. I have received the payment succesfully, and they show up in the database with status “wc-awaiting-payment”. I reckon any order with this status is invisible in the backoffice? Perhaps a setting somewhere.

    Now I’ve failed to re-create the problem. I’ve tested with both PayPal and our PSP again and there was no problem in processing the order from start to finish; an order in the back office with status “wc-processing”. This is my biggest problem: I can’t recreate the error the other customer seemed to have.

    I have the idea that my PSP is sending feedback to WooCommerce succesfully, but Woo isn’t properly changing the statuses or something.

    Is there any way to check what’s going on behind the scenes? Some logs I can check maybe? Anything?

    The only thing I can think of is some error/setting/bug like.. if they check out as guests it bugs somehow, or perhaps have a different/error landing page? I’m really reaching for something here, i’m in the dark.

    Anyone has some suggestions or pointers? Would be much much appreciated!

    P.s. I’ve manually changed the status in the database to “wc-processing”, which made them show up in the back office properly.. but it’s only a temporary solution obviously.

    That does actually seem like (partially) my problem.

    Any idea how that relates to the orders not updating to the correct status? It’s a bit weird that my test orders came trough no problem.

    I’ll keep an eye on that other topic as well, much appreciated!

    I’m having a similar problem. Orders are made, I get the receipt from Paypal, but the order never shows up in the WooCommerce dashboard. In fact, the order count goes up in the dashboard, but I cannot see the order. Then, randomly sometimes, the order will show up as “pending payment.” I have already received the money, but the status never changes, and then sometimes, those orders will disappear altogether after a while.

    All the while I can still see the order info in the database. I have disabled all plugins, no luck. I have reloaded a fresh version if WooCOmmerce, no luck. WooCommerce error logs are enabled, but nothing at all shows up in them for the last month.

    Where is the “status” of the order noted in the database, that you refer to above?

    Anybody have suggestions?

    Any updates on this??? My client is getting some orders but not all and I cannot for the life of me work out why??? We are recieving Paypal notification that payment has been made, however there is no information collected in WooCommerce backend or in database at all??? Please help…

    Exactly the same symptoms I have. WooCommerce told me they thought my client’s database was corrupted, suggested an export, import to new— but that did not fix the problem.

    My client is making do with the Paypal receipts but it is very less than ideal and I am at a loss as to what to do about it. In our case- the orders do show up in the database- but that doesn’t help us much.
