Big problem after re-arrange pages

I don’t know, why it is a big problem – and by default this is the correct behavior.

you change the menu, you modified the page. most likeley all pages, as the menu is on alle pages.

even if the menu wouldn’t show every site in the html dokument, you will most likely have every paged modified if you changed something in the toplevel.

When I re-arrange the pages, the content of the pages remains the same. Only when I change the contents of a page, a new date should appear.
Example:
I have several tutorial in my website. If I change a tutorial and save, this page should a new date (last modified on: 2016-05-16) show.

what about the html code of your menu. you changed it and it is on every page, just like your content. the document changed.

I understand, you want to show the date, you changed something in your text as an editor. I don’t know if there are seperate options for that and the change of the document for caching information.

You could add a date field with advanced custom fields where you enter the date you want to show in your website, than it is separated from technical stuff, for sure.

wenn ich die Seiten mit dem Plugin umordne, ist der Seiteninhalt gleich geblieben. Leider überschreibt Nested Pages dieses Datum (post_modified). Ein manuell eingefügtes ?nderungsdatum ist bei fast 800 Seiten wohl zuviel des Guten ??

Klar, dass macht kein Spa?. Dann hast Du es aber sicher ??

in Nested Pages finde ich keine Option, au?er das Datum, wann die Seite erstellt wurde. Und dass ?ndert sich bei mir nicht.

Ich vermute dein Theme liest das Datum aus, wann das DOM ge?ndert wurde, und dass ist nunmal der Zeitpunkt, an dem Du das Menu ver?nderst. Vielleicht hilft das.

Wenn Du über die WordPress eigene Funktion, eine Unterseite einer anderen Elternseite hinzufügst, ?ndert sich nur das Datum dieser Seite (unten rechts im Editor im Backend), was meiner Meinung nach noch weniger schlüssig ist.

Nein, das Plugin überschreibt das Datum in der DB. Das ist unabh?ngig vom verwendeten Theme. Das Datum sollte sich nur beim überarbeiten einer Seite ?ndern. Das w?re logisch.
Ansonsten ist das Plugin super und ich m?chte es nicht mehr missen.

should be set. I don’t see if it is only used for the content or for the entire DOM.

Anyway. WordPress standard funktion will set a new date on the page you moved in your menu if you give it a other parrent within the page-section.

When using WordPress individual menu to move sites around, it doesn’t change the date as you would want it, but sure it doesn’t come in handy.

It looks like this two Dates are not well separated within WordPress itself allready. Change of DOM and change of artikel-content / page-content.

the_modified_date shows the same date as the_modified_time. Sorry!
