• This morning, I did the automatic upgrade from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2.

Then I went about doing admin stuff. Task one was to insert a picture into a page that I already had. So I went to edit the page, dropped the picture into the page and clicked the “Update Page” button.

When the screen refreshed, my page was completely blank, all of my information was gone. Thank goodness for page revision history, right?

    Additional information:

I played with it enough to find a work-around. Here’s what I found:

When I hit “Update Page” in the “Visual” edit mode, the page flat-out disapears.

When I hit “Update Page” in the “HTML” edit mode, the code remains in the edit window, though if I got to the website and view the page or “Preview Changes” there is nothing there, the page is blank.

If I first make my change, then sit on the screen long enough for it to auto-save a draft, I am then able to revert back to that auto-save after doing an “Update Page” and then my changes show up.

Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks,
    Big Willy

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

My difficulty with 2.8.2 is that I cannot seem to locate ‘Visual Mode’. All I see is html. Where is the ‘Visual Mode’?

    Thanks,

Go figure – with the new install all of my plugis were deactivated. All is well now.

I have the same problem as bigwillydier and have had no luck thus far with all the suggested fixes.

i have same problem but cannot even uninstall the plugins or edit any changes. HELP HELP HELP!
