• Hi,

I’ve a big problem with VAT.
I sell digital services, well I’ve differents VAT for each country but when a buyer is in DOM TOM (Guadeloupe, Réunion, Martinique)

Woocommerce does not understand that they are departments of France, it understands that they are countries except the EU and do not apply a VAT.
But the VAT is good of 20 % because they are not countries but departments of France…

    How to correct it?

Hmm do you have resources stating this is required for EU VAT?

I’m just looking at the list here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/vat-eu-country-codes-vat-numbers-and-vat-in-other-languages and TVA is listed for “France, including Monaco but excluding Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, St. Pierre and Miquelon, and French Guiana (FR)” so it looks like they have different taxes to France.

    Hi Mike,

I am going to ask my accountant but if the rate is different from that of France, it is 8,1 % instead of 20 %.
In every case Woocommerce considers that the purchase except EU and does not apply VAT.
I have “no code country” for FRENCH OVERSEAS DEPARTMENTS AND TERRITORIES because they are departments of France … Then how to parametrize their VAT? What is their code country? How to indicates their ?

    Thank you ??

Since this is digital goods, different rules may apply. I don’t know if EU VAT law for digital goods apply there..

If you just need to apply VAT for regular products however, use their country codes in WC Settings.

Let me know what the accountant says ??

p.s. Guadeloupe for example has an ISO country code of GP
