Better WP Security – Rename "wp-content"

    I love BWS, but I’m now having a problem with it.
    I have renamed the wp-content folder on sites before using BWS with no problem and those sites still work great. Now I’m trying to build a new site, but every time I try to rename the wp-content folder, the entire site crashes (big white screen with nothing). I haven’t done anything different this time than I have done in the past with the other working sites. It just stopped working.
    I thought it might be compatibility issues with some updates (since I haven’t updated the other sites to WordPress 3.8.1 (still 3.8), so I installed the same versions of WP and BWS that are on the other sites, and i still crashes.
    Can anybody tell me what is happening?
