Better WP Security causes /not_found error when I try to login

    I updated my site’s Better WP Security plugin to the latest version last week and suddenly whenever I try to access any wp-* file I am sent to a /not_found page and /not_found is displayed in my url as well.

    I checked my remote server and all the wp- files are there.

    Any suggestions on next steps would be greatly appreciated.

    The problem I had was that “hide the backend” had been enabled by one of the other site admins (never have two!) without letting me know!
