• I’ve been using Duplicator for years, but because it offers so many options requiring manual input, it is not as easy to use. WPvivid was designed with minimal user input. It recognizes the database parameters and self installs without intervention.

However I ran into a problem where the restored WP image files are using the domain name (in the URL) from the old website. This is terrible as now I have to have two domain names point to the same website. I have not been able to resolve this yet, but at least it’s working.

    Hello @robertsnazzle ,

First, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a 5-star rating – it’s much appreciated! Could you please share the target site domain name and let us know which images still contain the original domain name in the URLs? Thank you!

    Kind regards.

I wish to respond to you privately. What email address can I send the URL to?

Upon further investigation, I found that the WP database contains references to the old domain name. A GREP search of my WP folders came up empty.

I believe my theme is malfunctioning because it’s not possible to customize the theme. Since this is not a production website, this is not high priority. However I will be happy to share my URLs to you in order to assist in improving your already excellent product.

In the meantime, the images come up half the time. I will manually replace references to the old domain in the database, then see what happens.
