Better search and archives

    Hi;
    With b2, someone wrote a very good search hack… what it did was display the post titles instead of the entire postings… this is obviously a much better way for people to search through the weblog.
    Also, I think the archives pages should display the headers too, not the entire posts. Would this be that difficult to do? Im a little surprised that WordPress isnt already like this.

    It’s on the way. We’re probably going to seperate the search out and make it a bit more sophisticated.

    OK, excellent… Im looking forward to it, also looking forward to the improved permalinks, it will do my site wonders.
    When will this stuff be released?

    Cool, wordpress is pretty much active…hope the spirit can be kept going!

    I want to know the status of the improved search because it seems no one is working on it but I’m sure someone will say, “Oh, but I’ve got it done but just never released it” once I start serious work on one.
