ISSUE: Doesn’t obey breakpoints. Great responsive posts, light & fast!

EDIT 9/20/2021 ISSUE: While ironing out some general site margins, found this plugin doesn’t obey breakpoints set in OceanWP + Elementor. It appears to have a hard setting for tablet at 750px and mobile at 558px with no way to adjust these.

AnWP is a really versatile plugin that doesn’t add a ton to page loading times. Upgrading our techspinreview site, we did an initial homepage layout with AnWP, tried out a variation with Smart Slider, but came immediately back to AnWP, using the Classic Slider as it was much faster at handling 6 post carousels under the hero bar. We also used Classic Grid on the 6 landing pages, so we couldn’t have our site looking this good without it! And it’s fully responsive, scaling smoothly with browser windows resizing, and better than other plugins we tried.

WP’s base responsive post image resizing linearly resizes while keeping aspect ratio. The only issue with AnWP’s responsive behavior is that our thumbnails are cropped on the top or sides as the browser window is resized. We reached out to the developer and they created a post to upvote.

A few seconds means a drastic GTMetrix score change, so between a perfect heavy solution like Smart Slider, or a good fast solution like AnWP, AnWP is our pick for Techspin. But wouldn’t it be great to be both?
