I like the plugin, very simple, does what it says.

However, given the purpose of the plugin, are there any optimisations that could be made? When I run a Google PageSpeed report: https://i.imgur.com/lhC5fGv.png it particularly mentions some of the resources loaded by the plugin (whether it’s a mobile page or not), e.g. the relatively large size of the CSS file (could be minified or compressed?) and the seeming relatively long load times of some of the other resources (I realise that the server plays a role in this too).

Any improvements would be great, now that we are all trying to shave time off our site loads!

    Hi @markowe,

We already did some optimizations a couple of months ago in the icon fonts that take a bit of space.

Yes there are some things that can be next like using SVG instead so it will only load 1 SVG if you only use 1 icon.

Regarding the rest of the CSS minifying it can help but the impact is minimal, many cache plugins already do this. Not sure if you are already use a cache plugin.

My personal opinion about Google Page speed is that some things aren’t accurate or aren’t analyzed in the correct context. So it will never be possible to have a clean result.

When possible will introduced the minified CSS of some of the resources, there is no ETA for that since time is limited.

    Thanks
