• I’d like to know if there is any easy way to customize the URLs to say categories, tags, RSS feeds, etc.? e.g. Add .xml (or .rss) extension to RSS feed links or to add a trailing slash (or .html extension) after category links. I know it’ snot necessary, but I’d like it for ascetics.

  • Are you talking about the permalinks or something else?

No, beyond permalinks. Like above, RSS feed links, category links, tag links, page links, etc.

Well, if you use “nice” permalinks, then your category links are like:
example.com/category/whatever – and the word “category” can be replaced with any other word.
    example.com/feed
    example.com/tag
    example.com/page-title
    etc.

No, not that. I understand all the built-in functions. I’m talking about past that.

Take this link for example: https://example.com/category/uncategorized
I want it to be: https://example.com/category/uncategorized.html

    The same for feed link:

    From: https://example.com/feed
    To: https://example.com/feed.xml

    Get it?

I see now what you want, although I still miss understanding why. Anyway, no, I don’t know of any method to do that.

Mostly for personal preference, but I’m sure it can be done by editing the hard code, right? Is it even possible to make a plugin for it?

    Anyone?

Also, about links such as: https://example.com/hello-world.html/feed to https://example.com/hello-world.xml and also archive links from https://example.com/2008/08 to https://example.com/august-2008/

Any help as to where I could find these functions?

Sorry for so many posts, but I found a plugin to add trailing slashes by Peter Claus Lamprecht.

I’ll mess with it to see if I can find a way to adjust the feed URLs as well.
